Donna L. May, MBA, CPM

My husband and I have lived in Dreamland Villa for three years, moving here after selling our five-bedroom home of 20 years in Tempe. He retired from the City of Phoenix at that time, but I am still working with the City of Phoenix. I have worked at City Clerk, Human Services, Municipal Court, and now am at Aviation as a Project Management Assistant in the Design and Construction Services Division, Project Cost Controls Section.

I hold an MBA, Bachelor of Science in Management, and am a Certified Public Manager through designation by ASU. I have managed projects, reduced costs, and generally served the public in different ways. I am a public servant, which I believe a director at Dreamland Villa must be. I am dedicated to helping find ways to keep our 55+ overlay. I chaired the City of Phoenix United Way employee fund drive where I lead 30 members of an executive committee, and 300 department representatives to convince city employees to donate money during a downturn in the economy. We raised $1.5 million dollars.

I am originally from the Chicago area, moving to Phoenix in 1994. In my spare time I am an avid photographer and enjoy trips to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. I am a Chicago Bears fan and Phoenix Suns season ticket holder, serving on the Phoenix Suns Sixth Man Advisory Board for over 2 years.

I look forward to working with the Board as an Interim Director to turn this ship around and remain the community we all hoped it would be when we moved here!
