Koffee Klatch Discussion

Non members are encouraged to attend to let us know what we can do to increase your interest in joining the club. Members are encouraged to tell us what we need to change (or to keep the same) to make the club more enjoyable to you.

Coffee and cookies or donuts will be served. No money charged for attendance, the only admission fee is willingness for you to share your input/ideas.

Today’s meeting went off very well. There were about 40 people in attendance with coffee and cookies provided. There were three board members sharing and taking notes. The purpose was to hear positive and constructive comments by the members/non-members at large. This was a friendly amenable group who discussed everything from upcoming “by-law” changes to allowing only one member of a household to purchase a membership card. The members are concerned with the board members all getting along and showing unity and even though they don’t all agree; it’s ok to disagree, just keep the animosity away and show your concern for the community at large. There were a number of suggestions of how to get enough folks to a meeting and time frame is important and perhaps offering food. We are working on implementing some of these suggestions; i.e., allowing new residents access pass to activities for a few months in hopes they will choose to become members.

The next meeting will be on Dec 11th at 9:30 again at Read Hall. Please plan to come on down and bring a friend or neighbor. Thank you for caring about our community and a willingness to listen and share.
