Anna Krasselt (2019)

Anna Margaret (Lawson) Krasselt, 90, a resident of Dreamland Villa Retirement Community for 30 years, died Monday, February 25, 2019, at the home of her daughter in Mesa, Arizona. Born January 24, 1929, in Plummer, Idaho, she was married to Charles “Chuck” (Virgil) Krasselt for nearly 74 years until his death on April 29, 2018.

Although Anna left high school to raise her family, she resumed her education as an adult and graduated from the University of Idaho (Moscow) with a bachelor’s degree in home economics. She was the owner-operator of Snip~N~Whip, a fabric store, in Moscow, Idaho from 1971 to 1988, when she moved to Arizona.

She was employed by H.R. Block Co. in Mesa as a tax specialist for 25 years before retiring at the age of 85. Anna and her husband spent six summers working for the National Park Service in Wyoming and Colorado. They also enjoyed traveling to Alaska and visiting family in several states. She was active at Dreamland as a member of the Computer Club and the Policies and Procedures Committee.

She celebrated her 90th birthday on January 24, surrounded by five generations of family and friends. Survivors include children, Caroline (Dan) Nelson of Mesa, Nancy (Steve) Koorenny of Tacoma, Wash., Chuck “Larry” (Christine) Krasselt of Moscow, ID. and Timothy (Roger Di Paolo) Krasselt of Stow, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren, sister Audrey (Lynn) Johnson of Potlatch, ID. sister-in-law Roberta Lawson of Helena Montana. She was preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter, Tammy Mundell, and four brothers. Her wish was for her body to be donated to Research for Life, followed by cremation.
