The residents on Dallas held their first Neighborhood Watch meeting (as well as being the very first Neighborhood Watch meeting in Dreamland) at the home of Nancy and Harry Cole on Friday, March 8. The Coles originally planned to host the event outside on the patio but Mother Nature with all of her rain prevented that. However, it worked out just fine with everyone in the house. Some questions were answered about the Watch, and then people headed for the table which groaned under the weight of all the food.

Nancy Cole, co-captain, commented, “It was so amazing that some of our neighbors did not know each other, but by the time the meeting concluded, they were all becoming well acquainted. Because our neighbors were very excited about the Watch, it made it easy to get 100 percent signed up.”

Co-captain Leona Kuhn added, “This is my first time for anything like this, but I am so excited to be a part of it. We do have such great neighbors, and I hope all of the blocks in Dreamland get to do this.”
