Neighborhood Watch Group - Decatur - 6200 block

March 23, 2013 by Becky DeFord
On March 23 the residents of the 62nd block of Decatur Street were invited to the home of Robert and Sue Burns for a pitch-in lunch and Block Watch Party Meeting. This was the second meeting at the Burns home and everyone is grateful for their generous hospitality in opening their home and hosting the event.

Dave DeFord, Block Watch Captain, was able to sign up a very good majority of the residents on the block and look forward to more informative meetings. We were very happy to have as guests Detective Sargeant Ben Armer from the Sheriff’s Department and Deputy Sheriff Jason Miller who serves our area. They brought our attention to some of the methods people are scamming senior citizens and stealing identities. In addition Sue’s son, John Burns, a private detective from Los Angeles, California, added more information. More of this type of information will be made available at future meetings throughout Dreamland.
