Sherriff’s Posse Temporarily Suspended throughout the Valley

Sheriff Paul Penzone announced Friday, January 25th 2019 that an armed enforcement branch of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office will be temporarily suspended after a department-wide audit revealed almost all members of the branch had not completed every step of required testing.  At the same time the Sherriff’s Department announced that about 50 firearms were unaccounted for, but did not provide any evidence nor accusation that Valley Volunteer Posse Members were responsible.

The suspension is supposed to be temporary, but unfortunately DOES affect our volunteer posse in Dreamland Villa. Here is a link to the full story.
