Dreamland Villa is a community exclusively for persons 55 years of age and over. It was started in 1959, with development extending into the 70's. The Dreamland Villa Community Club was chartered as a non-profit organization in 1961. The name was changed to Dreamland Villa Retirement Community in 2017. The 8 member Board, through its committees and staff, conducts the day-to-day business.
The facilities consist of two separate complexes, the library and a nature trail walk. The Read Hall complex houses the business office, a meeting room that will accommodate up to 150 persons, rooms for most of the indoor activities, outdoor activities including two pools and a spa, and John's Villa Restaurant.
The Farnsworth Hall complex includes a large auditorium with a full stage and County certified kitchen facility, exterior band shell and various outdoor activities, including a swimming pool and spa. It is used for larger events such as the Arts and Craft Shows, the Art Show, Pot Luck Dinners, and is home to the Farnsworth Hall Community Theater which promotes dances and various types of entertainment programs including musical groups, concerts, and plays.
Help Services is an independent non-profit corporation that loans health related equipment to residents of Dreamland Villa and Velda Rose Estates.
