Help Services is a non-profit Arizona corporation founded in 1973 to serve the residents of Dreamland Villa and Velda Rose Estates by providing them with the opportunity to use medical and sick room equipment and physical and health aid items on a loan free basis. The medical and sick room equipment we have available to loan will allow you to nearly set up a hospital room in your home. Most medical and sick room equipment is loaned for as long as you may need it, however, some restrictions may apply. There are also items you may need when house guests or the grandchildren visit. These items include roll-away beds, play pens, baby beds, high chairs, and strollers. These non-medical items generally have a maximum loan period of 30 days. A complete list of the equipment available to loan is here. If you don’t see the item you are looking for in this list, call Help Services. Perhaps it has been added to our loan inventory since this list was compiled.

How We Function
Help Services operates under the direction of a volunteer Board of Directors elected from and by the residents of Dreamland Villa and Velda Rose Estates. All residents of the two communities are members of the corporation. Directors are elected for three-year terms and may, if they so choose, run for successive terms. The committee structure is employed to facilitate the many activities that keep the organization functioning. Volunteer Monitors man the office each day we are open to see to the needs of our clients. All serve without pay, however, we do pay for services performed in the delivery and pick up of certain equipment items and for the cleaning and sanitizing of returned items.

Blood Pressure Clinic Mondays
High blood pressure can be one of the early warning signs of a stroke or heart attack. Whether you are under the treatment of a physician for high blood pressure or heart disease or not, seniors should have their blood pressure checked on a regular basis. Help Services offers a free weekly blood pressure clinic each Monday from 9:00 am to noon. The clinic is staffed by trained volunteer nurses.

How We Are Financed
Help Services is financed solely by donations, memorial gifts and bequests established in a Will or testament. Help Services is not a welfare organization nor a private club, nor is it affiliated with or does it receive any money or subsidy from Federal, State or local governmental agencies. Help Services is a local community organization; and 100 percent of all donations received are used to fund our operations. Help Services is a 501 (c) (3) public charity, and all donations are tax deductible. Your donation will help us be able to continue providing health care equipment on a loan free basis to our clients.
