Hobbies and Crafts


Art Room
Instructional classes for beginners, intermediate and advanced oil painting, watercolor, mixed watermedia, acrylic and collage, and portraits. Fall and winter classes. Open painting at other times.

Ceramics
You don't have to have any artistic talent to do ceramics. All skill levels from beginner to experts are welcome.

Fused Glass Class
Your projects can be big or small. Instruction available to assist in cutting glass and helping to develop the item you choose to make.

Senior Techies
Join the club and become computer literate with Computers, tablets and iPads. Beginner classes and problem solving help are available. The club meets in the computer room, (R-9) at Read Hall.

Lapidary Shop
Join this group to cut and polish gem stones and create craft items and jewelry.

Quilting Club
Our members make "charity quilts" which are donated to Helen's Hope Chest in Mesa, the VA Hospital in Phoenix and St Vincent DePaul.

Wood Carving
Take up a new hobby in a relaxed atmosphere. Carve animals, characteristics of humans, humanistic carvings, crosses, walking sticks, and more. Visit the class, learn what tools you will need to begin wood carving and enjoy a new adventure.

Woodshop
The shop is open for your woodworking needs. Assistance is available if necessary. The woodshop has been upgraded and modernized recently.
