Desert Walking Group

Are you interested in walking to improve your health and stamina? Would you like to enjoy nice flat trails in the desert, meet new friends, lunch out on occasion or have a picnic in a scenic park? Then Dreamland Desert Walkers is for you! The walking group is a wonderful opportunity to experience some lovely easy trails and meet other residents who enjoy strolling in the desert.  They meet at Farnsworth Hall at 9 AM and will car pool to the walking locations.  All of the walks are scenic and on flat trails.
Wear comfortable shoes and a hat.  Bring a water bottle and some dollar bills to pay your driver if you plan to ride with someone.  (The amount will be announced depending on how far they drive.).  If you have a cell phone it will be very helpful if you carry it on all our walks.   Walks in  December, January,  February and March will be every other week on a Friday.  If you are interested in enjoying our walks, please contact Pat Dinsmore, and give her your name and email address.  A few days before each walk she will send you information.  She is in the directory.

January 5th – Hawes Trail, East side, Andrea leader, we plan to go to a restaurant
January 19th – Kiwanis Park, Mill Road & Baseline, Jean and Pat leaders, picnic lunch
February 2nd – Veterans Oasis at Lindsey & Chandler Heights Rd, Andrea leader, picnic lunch
February 16th – Chaparral Park, 5401 Hayden Rd Scottsdale, Anita leader, lunch at a restaurant
March 1st – Coon Bluff to the River, Andrea leader, lunch at a restaurant
March 15th – Tempe Town Lake, Marilyn leader, lunch at Perfect Pear Bistro
March 22nd – Boyce Thompson Arboretum, Cathy, Bonnie & Janet, leaders, picnic lunch
