Fun Times Ceramics

Tuesdays and Thursdays - Room 7 at Read Hall

“Bowls for the Hungry” project
“Bowls for the Hungry” project

Ceramics: Decorate and fire greenware or bisque.

Hours: September to April :
          Tuesdays and Thursdays
           9:00 AM-Noon

Betty Jacobsen is certified in Ceramics and is in charge of Fun Time Ceramics. Betty will provide classes for those of you who need a little help or others who would like to learn the process from start to finish. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to help out as the shop monitor.

You don't have to have any artistic talent to do ceramics. All skill levels from beginner to experts are welcome. Come try your hand at a new hobby and bring out your inner artist. We have a lot of fun.

The cost is quite minimal. We have some bisque available, or bring your own green ware and bisque. Paint is $1 per item painted and kiln fee is $1 per item fired. The minimal donations allow us to replace the brushes, paints and sometimes add new colors and types of paint.

Specialty Classes:
We are willing to try a variety of ceramic methods and are open to suggestions for classes. Last year, we experimented with shaving cream. There are so many ways to finish projects. Come and try them with us. Stop by during class hours and check us out.
