April 6, 2013 by Katie Senke
Our first combined Neighborhood Watch Meeting was held Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the home of Rita (cocaptain) and Mack Komnick. I’d like to give a big thank you to our hosts for their hospitality. And thank you to all of our concerned neighbors who attended.

As our neighbors arrived we signed them in and gave them name tags. I gave a brief talk about Neighborhood Watch and answered some important questions. I would like to remind everyone in our community if you see something suspicious or out of the norm, please, please call 911. Please do not try to handle the situation on your own.

We spent the rest of the afternoon enjoying the good food, talking, and meeting our neighbors. As the party was coming to an end, it was suggested we get together again for a potluck. Perhaps, we will get to know our neighbors so we don’t need to wear name badges.
