April 6, 2013 The first meeting of the Butte Street Neighborhood Watch was held on Saturday afternoon, April 6, 2013, at the home of the Block Watch captain, Kay Hawbaker. It was a very warm afternoon, but that did not dampen the turnout. We had a wonderful potluck with Sloppy Joes and coleslaw plus many other excellent dishes to complete our dinner.

October 21, 2013 Co-Captain, Diane Eklund and her husband, Al held the Bi-Annual Neighborhood Watch meeting. John Pawloski, a member of the DV Posse camed to talk to us about his role and duties in the Posse.

October 28, 2014 Bi-Annual Neighborhood Watch meeting. It was held at the home of Peggy and Lee Trivigne on the short block north of Butte. Kay Hawbaker reviewed our progress as a Neighborhood Watch and give out the decals for the windows of those participating.

November 8, 2015 Bi-Annual Neighborhood Watch meeting was held at the home of Jim and Johnnie Doherty at the East end of Butte. Members of the DVCC Board were present to hear concerns and meet the group.

November 11, 2016 Butte Street and 61 Street had a meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, November 11 and John Pawloski and Deb Rychlak both spoke at the meeting. There were 21 neighbors at the gathering. Some were from 61st Way, but they do not yet have an organized group, so we have them come to ours.

March 21, 2018 Neighborhood Watch meeting was held at Watch Captain, Kay Hawbaker’s home. There were 16 members present. There was no agenda, except to meet and get to know each other better. There was a delightful variety of food and nobody left hungry.

November 16, 2018 Jim and Johnnie Doherty at the east end of Butte hosted the fall Watch meeting. We welcomed Keith Robbs of the Posse and he introduced himself and the duties of the deputies. There were 18 members present. Kay reported on the new permanent Household Waste Facility in Mesa.
