Flu & Pneumonia Shots

Help Services has teamed with Walgreens offering two flu and pneumonia shot clinics for the residents of Dreamland Villa and Velda Rose Estates. The clinics will be right here in our own community and will be offered Thursday, November 6th and Tuesday, December 9th from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm at Dreamland Villa’s Farnsworth Hall and later if the demand is there.

True, locations where you can get either one of these shots are popping up all around us. But, our clinics are right here in our back yard and setup especially for seniors. Besides the convenience, there will be coffee for everyone and a complementary donut for the first 100 persons who get either or both of the shots.

To ensure there will be no charge for either shot, all you need to bring is your Medicare Part A or Part B card or your Medicare Part D card together with your supplemental insurance card. It is extremely unlikely that one of our senior residents will end up having to pay for either shot. While there is no guarantee that the flu shot will keep us from catching the flu, it will certainly help minimize the flu’s effect. As we get older catching the flu can have devastating effects on us seniors. So, mark your calendar today. Farnsworth Hall is located at 6159 E. University Drive and there is plenty of free parking.
