Elaine Oberholtzer (2014)

Elaine Shirley Oberholtzer, an identical twin, was born in Bell, California on May 8, 1934. During the  early  years  of  her  61 year marriage to Robert Dean Oberholtzer, she welcomed four children: Marlyss , Gary, Sharon and Brent. (Sadly, Marlyss left us too  soon  but was  reunited  with  her  Mom  in  Heaven  in the early  morning  hours of Tuesday , December 16, 2014.)

Elaine has 8 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and an identical twin  sister, Eileen.

Bob's career took the family on adventures all over the country. No matter where they landed, Elaine easily made new friends was always active in her local church and community.

After the kids were raised, she attended college to get her degree in Early Childhood Development.  She  loved  and enjoyed being around children and found great joy in starting a preschool and teaching there in their New Jersey  church. She also excelled in her role as the Director of a day care center in Fresno during the  late  1990's.

Elaine was hardworking, openhearted and very generous with her time and talents. She loved to sing at church and at home. Loved ones remember her as a giving, thoughtful / faithful and forgiving friend.

Some of her favorite pastimes were camping with her family, attending concerts and, musicals, playing cards with her friends, being active in her church, drinking  coffee and enjoying the occasional treat at one of her favorite neighborhood  Starbucks.

She enjoyed decorating her home for  every  season, and cooking and entertaining for family and friends, especially during the holidays. She made sure to invite and include local families who  had nowhere else to go for  holiday  dinners.

She and her twin sister Eileen were very close. They made sure to spend lots of time together that included shopping and eating out. She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
