Lyle Eugene Wood (2018)

Lyle Eugene Wood  June 26, 1934 - January 19, 2018

Was born June 26, 1934, in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He was a middle child with an older brother, Merrill and a younger sister, Darlene. His parents were Kenneth and Hazel McKay Wood who both came to Grand Forks from local farms.

Early years of Lyle’s life were spent in Grand Forks, ND. There was  year during WWII  when his father moved the family to Bremerton, WA to help with the war effort.

Lyle graduated in 1952 from Central High School in Grand Forks. He went on to graduate from the University of North Dakota in early 1957 with a degree in Industrial Engineering.

After graduation Lyle relocated in Seattle, WA and went to work for the Boeing Company.  He was there, except for a few years, and  had a 35 year career as a Manager.

Lyle is survived by his wife, Dorothy Randall, his daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Alan Wolf: and his son, Brian Wood, and two grandchildren, Kelsey and Austin Wolf.  Also his brother, Merrill Wood and sister, Darlene Storey.  There are Step-children, Mark, Denise, Jon, Joy and Amy and their spouses, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
