ESPEY, Eugene (Gene) Vincent, Jr., 86, passed away on March 5, 2018. He had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2011, and in 2015 Parkinson’s Dementia. Gene is survived by his wife of 47 years, Donna, as well as his children Judith I. Espey Gulley, Greggory S. Espey and James V. Espey.

Gene was born on December 19, 1931, in The Dalles, Oregon. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1960 in accounting-disbursing. After the service he worked as the Office Manager to the Chief Financial Officer of multicorporations with the Automotive Dealerships in California. He and his wife established and managed the Mesa Fastprint from 1978 to 1992. Gene also served as a realtor, selling commercial and residential property from 1994 to 2010.

The Espeys moved to Dreamland Villa in 2002 where Gene performed duties as the treasurer on the Board of Directors. He was involved with the Board from 2003 to 2011. Gene was most proud of leaving Dreamland with over $200,000 in the Capital Reserve Fund when he retired.
