Daniel J. Hudson (2013)

 Daniel Jared Hudson, 80, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013, in Billings, Montana.

 Dan was the eldest of eight children born April 22, 1933, in Billings.  After graduating from Billings Senior High, he served in the US Navy during the Korean War, stationed primarily at San Diego Naval Hospital.  After the service he joined the fire department where he held several positions and was active in the EMT program.  Dan retired as a Battalion Chief after 28 years of service.

He moved to Dreamland Villa where he lived from 2004 to 2012 before retuning to Billings.  Dan took up wood carving and won many honors and various awards.  His carvings have displayed in art galleries throughout the western United States.  While living in Dreamland, Dan served as president of the Dreamland Villa Community Club as well as starting a wood carving class and sharing his talents with residents.

Dan is survived by three children, daughter Kathy Stabio of Billings; son Scott Hudson and wife Lori of Frederick, Maryland; and daughter Lori Hudson of Woodland, California.  Dan's life was blessed with seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brothers Ronald, Murray and Timothy, and sister Kathleen.  He was preceded in death by siblings Beverly, Terry, and Bruce.
