General Meeting: Block Watch Speaker

Tue, March 13, 2012

Farnsworth Hall at 2:00 PM

We want to be sure that we have a safe community; therefore, we are inviting all residents to the presentation by Rita C. Fenelly, Community Block Watch Liaison of the Maricopa County Sheriff''s Office.  Ms. Fenelly will help us to understand “What is Suspicious?” and how we report such activities.  She will help us understand what information the sheriff needs when reporting activities; as well as addressing activities which seniors need to be aware and diligent concerning.

We would like to set up the Block Watch program within Dreamland.  There are two types of Block Watch programs, the entire community and/or individual blocks.  It is anticipated that we will at least enter into the Community Block Watch program.

We would like to have those persons who are willing to take some leadership in this program  contact the office with your name, address, and telephone number.  It is anticipated that following the presentation we will meet the following Tuesday, March 20, at 10:00 AM in Read Hall to discuss how we organize. That meeting will consist of those core people who have expressed an interest in being a leader.
