The Softones Gospel Concert

Sun, February 10, 2013

3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
Farnesworth Hall - $5.00

For your listening pleasure, it’s going to be some good old “Southern Gospel Music” on Sunday, February 10th from 3:00 to 4:30 PM at Farnsworth Hall. Originating in 1964, The Softones credit their initial musical training to their parents and other family members. The group claims joy for growing up in Alberta, Canada households where music was an integral part of the family culture. Ed Breitkreutz, leader of the group, plays the accordion as well as being a gifted composer. Roy Warnke, who started playing guitar at the age of 12, has played in numerous bands over the years. Ed’s wife, Lydia and his sister, Cecil support the vocal portion of the performance. Their gift of music will bring back lots of special memories to all of us. Make a note on your calendar for Sun. Feb. 10th at 3:00PM. Tickets are $5.00 and available at Dreamland Villa office or at the door on the day of the performance.
