(MESA) The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps of Arizona will host a Drum Corps International (DCI) competition. The show, Drums Across The Desert is the perfect opportunity for Broadway fans to enjoy theatrics in a whole, new way. This show is set to be one of the outstanding spectacles of the summer! Attendees can expect to experience Broadway-style performances full of exciting music, dynamic movement and eye-catching color. Groups of 150 musicians and dancers will contribute to this incredible show, bound to be an unforgettable evening!

The Academy will compete against some of the country’s most elite marching-music ensembles. The Madison Scouts, from Madison, WI, and Pacific Crest, from Diamond Bar, CA, will be among the eight talented groups performing spectacular shows with a variety of musical selections.

The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps, from Tempe, is a non-profit youth arts organization comprised of musicians and dancers from throughout Arizona and around the world, ages 16-21, who audition each year for a coveted spot in Arizona’s only drum and bugle corps.
