General Membership Meeting Minutes - January 11, 2011

There was no quorum, having 84 people in attendance. Therefore, no business was conducted. The meeting, briefly, consisted, of the following:

1.     Gene Espey spoke about Treasurer’s Report.

2.    Dorothy Randall spoke on the new website: dreamlandvilla.org

3.    Judy Ford spoke on our 50^th anniversary. 

4.    Charles Dubbs reported on administrative services.

5.    President Dan Hudson introduced himself and thanked all persons who have helped him in his transition from Vice President to President.

6.    Nancy Cole introduced seven new Board candidates. One person, Jim Cook, was nominated by Linda Roujon and he accepted. Candidates are as follows:

John Carpenter (absent), Agnes Forsyth, Clarice Gaynett, Steven Peters, Gale Sabbatino, Fred Smith, Gloria White and  Jim Cook.

Clarice Gaynett was unable to attend and Bea Westall read her answers. Candidates answered three questions which they had in advance and one from the floor.

7.    George Sheppard is stepping down as Kitchen Manager end of April and looking for person to take over.

8.    Red Westall announced a Nature Walk clean-up on January 21^st.

9.    Susan Ingalls spoke briefly re need for pool lift chair. She is in a wheelchair and would like to swim. Susan states she is well-versed in ADA rules.

10.   Nydia Proban spoke re jam sessions.
